An Old Outerwear

“Dad’s home. You had dinner?”
My dad came back home and put his outerwear on the chair.
It was an old padded jumper worn out here and there.

“Dad, why don’t you throw away this coat now?”
I couldn’t understand why he wore the same clothes although he had many others.

“Don’t you remember? This is what you bought for me.”
Only then did I remember that I bought it for him as his birthday present a few years ago.

Thick and warm jumpers were too expensive that I had no choice but to buy a little light one.
Still, Dad gets through cold winter with that jumper, saying it’s warm enough.
