with my kindergarten-aged daughter
when she began reading the warning signs posted inside.
“Do Not Lean,” she read aloud, her voice full of pride.
Delighted by her growing ability to read,
I pointed to another sign that read “Do Not Touch,” and asked,
“And what does this one mean?”
Without missing a beat,
she slapped my open palm and declared confidently,
“That means high five!”
