
We had quite a few potatoes, gathered from here and there. When my husband saw them, his face lit up, and he asked if I could make braised potatoes in red sauce. He brings a lunchbox to work every day and never complains about the side dishes, eating whatever I prepare without fuss. Thinking that he would enjoy his favorite dish made me happy as I cooked. I felt grateful that something as simple as braised potatoes could bring such quiet joy.
