On Mother’s Day, I thought a lot about what to give to my mom. Then I suddenly remembered her worn-out lunch bag. I went to the market, bought a new one, and wrapped it carefully. I also wrote a note that said, “Happy Mother’s Day, Mom. Thank you so much. I love you,” and attached it to the gift. With a slightly nervous heart, I gave it to her that evening. When she opened it, her face lit up with a bright smile. “How did you think to buy me a lunch bag?” she said. “This is such a wonderful gift.” Seeing her so happy over such a small present surprised me—and made me happy, too.
