On a holiday, our whole family gathered together for the first time in a while. After enjoying a delicious lunch, my husband and I were having coffee when our second child, who is in middle school, busily moved around the kitchen and then placed a plate in front of each of us. On it was homemade chocolate, carefully arranged. The moment I tasted it, it melted instantly, filling my mouth with sweetness. Even my usually reserved husband couldn’t help but smile. I felt so proud and grateful to my daughter for giving us this little moment of happiness.
