My Family’s Dumplings

After my mother-in-law, who used to send us homemade dumplings every year, passed away, my husband deeply missed the taste. The thought of making them myself felt daunting, but with his persistent encouragement, I decided to give it a try—despite my clumsy hands.

To my surprise, my husband put on an apron and joined in, his enthusiasm filling the kitchen. When our son saw the freshly made dumplings, he playfully teased that we could open a dumpling shop.

Now, making dumplings at home has become an annual event for our family. It’s a wonderful time to come together and share in the process. This event brings double happiness—once in the making and again in the eating.
